Why We Added Technology Spy

Technology Spy is our newest (and I think coolest) solution we’ve developed that allows users to track what technology prospects are using.

Gone are the days where you have to do hours of research to track down what Email Service Provider a certain prospect uses. Now you receive alerts to your inbox every morning.

There are plenty of reasons why this type of technology needed to exist. Below are three reasons that really drove our development of this new solution.

1) Our Clients Drive The Layout Of Our Product Roadmap

This feature originally came out of an idea from Lindsey Boggs at Smarter Remarketer.  We don’t overthink our product roadmap, we simply ask our clients what they want, we build it, then let them Beta the new feature.  After testing Technology Spy here’s what Lindsey had to say:

2) Data Needs To Be Leveraged

Believe it or not, we’re pretty big believers in the importance of data around here.

We like numbers. We like information. We like collecting huge amounts of data to organize and analyze, and then, most importantly, we like to provide clients tools and solutions to make informed strategic business decisions.

Without the ability to implement recommendations provided by that data, is the information really all that useful?

Probably not.

Technology Spy is our most recent tool we created to help clients leverage—not just organize and analyze—data to increase efficiency and drive growth.

3) Prospecting Is Time Consuming

If you’re doing it right, a lot of time and effort goes into prospecting for new clients. Cold calls, appointment scheduling, researching . . . we feel your pain.

Time is money, so we wanted to create a tool that would optimize this process and make it easier to prospect. Technology Spy tells you exactly when prospects are shopping for new technologies, allowing you to act quickly, strategically, and aggressively. 4) Competition Is Fierce

The Internet is a crowded place. Chances are, there’s a vendor out there that does what you do for clients (but not as well, of course).

It’s useful to know who is working with who and even which vendor has suddenly popped onto the map. You can adjust your sales strategy based on this kind of information.

With competition being so fierce, we thought it would be good to have an inside man like Technology Spy to give our clients insight into what their competitors are doing.

We’re really excited about Technology Spy because we think it will help our clients more efficiently leverage data, find new clients, and keep an eye on the competition.
