Power User Spotlight: Brandon Farrell, Flow
Brandon's Hack: Don't take yourself too seriously
Doing cold outbound calls and emails can get monotonous. I always find time throughout the day to make it more fun. Create a game within the work, craft a personalized cheeky intro email, leave a voicemail every now and again. Makes it all the more worth it when you get a great response.
etailinsights Power User Interview
Brandon, what is your favorite restaurant in New York? And, why?
Il Buco is my favorite restaurant I have been to in Manhattan thus far. Best paella and croquetas I have ever had.
What drove you to begin a sales career in eCommerce?
I have always been an athlete, and a career in sales appealed to those same skills and interests. I love being part of a team, goal-oriented, and constantly trying to improve.
How does Flow help etailers?
How are you using etailinsights to find eCommerce leads?
Our team uses etailinsights to source eCommerce, digital, and operations leads in a few ways. First is prospecting, our outbound process is built on the ability to determine what technologies the brand is using, so we can describe to the prospect how we easily integrate into their existing tech stack. etailinsights allows us to easily determine what eCommerce platform or competitor they are using, as well as determining what their international sales volume may be. Secondly, we love the Technology Spy functionality. It is essential to stay up to date on which platforms brands add/drop to their site to create compelling reasons during our cold outreach. etailinsights allows us to be timely in our outreach to ensure a higher response rate. I am always using the Technology Spy function to get real-time updates when a prospect adds or drops a technology that will make the introduction to Flow a little more enticing.
What is your favorite Top 40 eCommerce Conference and why?
IRCE is my favorite conference. In 2019, it was at McCormick Place in Chicago, which is the largest convention center in the United States. I was blown away by all that went into the planning and execution of such a large scale event.
