Nico's Hack: Be genuine, curious, and passionate.

Be genuine, curious, and passionate about what you’re selling and who you’re selling to. The more genuine you are to prospects and the more inquisitive you are about their eCommerce business, they will open up to you and share what’s going on with their business.

Nico, what is your favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City, and why?

Handle - I love the the atmosphere and cocktails. They also have the best burgers and cauliflower.

What drove you to begin a sales career in eCommerce?

I started working at Nordstrom back in 2004 before they had an eCommerce store.and ever since then, I grew a passion for brands. I’ve sold so many great brands over the years on the retail floor and in wholesale and I loved watching them emerge into the digital space. I love seeing brands grow, learning about their go to market strategy, and what consumers purchase.

How does Drip help etailers?

Drip is the world’s first eCommerce CRM (ECRM) bent on bringing online stores closer to their customers through more personalized experiences at scale. It is a great marketing automation software and some of the features include email personalization, purchase intent scoring, automated workflows, social ads with Drip's Facebook custom audiences integration, and more.

How are you using etailinsights to find eCommerce leads?

I use etailinsights on a daily basis. It helps me keep track of companies and their trends. It has also been a great tool to pursue prospects and new accounts. etailinsights is a must in my everyday prospecting and has been a great tool for my success at Drip.

What is your favorite Top 40 eCommerce Conference  and why?

I’ve only been to one so far and that was eTail West, which was great and insightful. I also love going to trade shows like Outdoor Retailer and NYNow as I get to see new products on the market. These trade shows also always have great seminars that are focused around digital marketing and eCommerce.
