If you’re calling on small to medium-sized businesses, lunch is often a good time to catch the owners. Just like salespeople, they work during times when most are taking breaks.

Evan, what is your favorite restaurant in Dublin and why?

Tucci’s in Dublin, OH. It has the best patio and a small but well-thought-out menu. The buildings in downtown Dublin, OH are all from the 19th Century, which adds a nice touch. It’s also within walking distance to many other bars and dessert shops for after the meal. It’s my go-to for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

What drove you to begin a sales career in e-commerce?

In my opinion, it offered the most from a growth and opportunity perspective. My background in the freight industry is in the traditional B2B space, and as we continue to see brick and mortar struggle, I wanted to be on the leading edge as far as logistics is concerned. Brands must consider an e-commerce strategy these days, and I also knew it was going to be exciting working with super energetic business owners to help build their brands and create sustainable supply solutions!

How does DHL eCommerce help etailers?

DHL eCommerce helps etailers by offering traditional postal shippers a more personalized and scalable solution as they continue to grow their brands. Whether it’s through our bespoke DHL Fulfillment, enhanced postal solutions, or international knowledge, we strive to be the provider of choice for the e-commerce industry.

How are you using etailinsights to source eCommerce Leads or build a Directory of Online Retailers?

I use etailinsights in many different ways. One of the things I have found most beneficial about etailinsights is that they are willing to put in the work and do research on companies that are not currently in their database. I try and add at least one to two new companies a month using this method. Additionally, I login from my phone and use the etailinsights built-in geo-search function that will list Online Retailers in my immediate area. This allows me to be more productive in the field. I also believe that one of the most under-utilized features is the Shopping Cart Analyzer for etailinsights. This allows you to be on the landing page of a prospect, and see if etailinsights has the info. You don’t have to go search the company on the actual site, the plug-in does it all for you.

What is your favorite Top 40 eCommerce Conference and why?

I don’t get to go to too many conferences, but I am a fan of IRCE. I’ve received the most amount of interest from our participation at that conference.
