3 B2B eCommerce Trends You Need To Know For Success In 2015

By Darren Pierce on Jan 13, 2015 6:00:00 AM

As most of us know, 2014 was the year of social media marketing and content marketing, and digital marketing experts are forecasting a pretty similar 2015.  I wouldn’t expect to see any huge change in trends as we head into the New Year, but there are a few new changes you should be aware of.

Here are three 2015 trends you should be keeping on your radar.

1) Advanced Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing has blown up over the last couple of years, and as we head into 2015, you’ll notice an increase in the amount of advanced social media marketing technology. The evolution of advanced posting, measuring, and engagement tools is what separates 2015 social marketing from 2014.

Thanks to popular tools like Sniply, Post Planner, and Buffer, organizations are learning how to engage with their bull's eye customer at the right place and at the right time across the social media landscape.

2) More Dependence On Mobile

This may seem like an old topic, but it’s not. There’s a difference between mobile usage (i.e., 2014) and mobile dependence. Customers are becoming more dependent.

The consistently growing mobile market is a good indicator that you're going to see a lot about mobile marketing this year on all the best industry blogs. Get ready.

Keep an eye out for mobile advertising on social media, as well as the impact new payment methods like Apple Pay might have on your bottom line.

3) Content Marketing Will Be Big

Content making was big last year, and it’s going to be even bigger this year.

Developing a way to establish authority and gain trust through a variety of online channels (social platforms, blog, newsletter), should be on your list of to-dos for January.

It’s suggested that television ads and radio ads are becoming less effective, while inbound marketing efforts that produce value by providing engaging content are increasing ineffectiveness.

No, I didn’t just copy the same post I did at the beginning of 2014. These are old topics with new twists that need your attention in 2015.

What other trends have you read about for 2015?
