Power User Spotlight: Tim McSweeney, Feefo

TimMcSweeney Tim's Sales Hack: Organization is just as important as hustle.

Organization and discipline is just as important as hustle.  Some people believe that in order to be successful in sales, it’s all about activity. While activity is vey important, you need to be be organized and disciplined as well. If you have time set aside to prospect, use it.  Regardless of how your day/week/month has gone, committing to a routine is a must.  Also, as eCommerce evolves, set some time aside weekly to educate yourself on new trends/strategies. eCommerce is never stagnant, so never stop seeking out knowledge to leverage.

etailinsights Power User Interview

Tim, what is your favorite restaurant in Boston, and why?

Uni. Boston has no shortage of amazing places to eat but I’d have to say my favorite spot is Uni. Tony Messina, the executive chef/owner is a genius, and the place is a mix of both the best sushi you’ll eat, as well as his creative take on Asian street food. A close second is Anna’s Taqueria. I would live inside one of their carnitas burritos if I could.

What drove you to begin a sales career in eCommerce?

I worked in eCommerce from 2008-2013 before taking some time off to run a small construction business. What’s amazing about eCommerce is it is always evolving, which brought me back. You need to keep learning and perfecting your craft or you’ll be left in the dust. That excites me.

How does Feefo help etailers?

Feefo helps eTailers by improving social proof and brand awareness through helping businesses collect verified, authentic feedback. We're a Senior Google Content Partner reviews and ratings platform that uses automation to invite actual customers to leave reviews at multiple points of the customer journey. Feel free to message me on LinkedIN if you’d like to chat!

How are you using etailinsights to source eCommerce leads?

Feefo is in a growth stage in the US, so my team attacks different verticals daily. etailinsights is an incredible tool because of the detail you’re able to use in your search parameters.  We’re able to stay organized by region, vertical, and revenue which allows us to get the most out of our outreach. What really impresses me is that the etailinsights' team not only offers a dynamic product but are always willing to show my team and me different ways to get the most out of the platform. The fact we’re able to search companies based on the technology they’re using is also an immense help in prospecting.

What is your favorite Top 40 eCommerce Conference  and why?

I haven’t been to many, but I’ve heard CommerceNext is incredible. I definitely hope to attend soon.
