Power User Spotlight: Ann Schrader, Amplience
Ann's Hack: Make your bed every morning
You’ve probably heard it a million times from your mom, but make your bed every morning. It really does set the tone for your day, and it keeps you organized which leads to better time management skills. Additionally, write down your goals for the day, first thing or the night before. Put your long term and short term goals on there, visit them daily, and adjust what you’re doing to align yourself with your goals. Act with a sense of urgency and enjoyment- it will show through when you connect with people. Use your time wisely and call when people are most likely to answer their phones (later in the day works best for me). Calling is not dead and is a great tool to use in conjunction with emailing, etc. Be persistent, professional, ask questions, ask for referrals, expand and use your network.

Ann, what is your favorite restaurant in San Diego, and why?
I love Jeune et Joile in northern San Diego county. French is my favorite cuisine (my Italian relatives are now cringing), and the chef creates these wonderful modern French dishes that are not only delicious, but presented in a way that makes it a memorable dining experience. What drove you to begin a sales career in eCommerce?
Early in my career, I managed retail stores. After getting into selling software, the transition to eCommerce (as consumers were buying more online) just seemed like a natural fit and a great movement to be a part of. It doesn’t hurt that I also love fashion and shopping.
