Power User Spotlight: Tomo Weir, Ekata
Tomo's Sales Hack: Build Enduring Customer Relationships
One of the most important things I learned at Ekata was how important it was to build relationships, whether that’s with your co-workers, customers, or prospects. Prior to Covid, our sales team was frequently out in the field to join customers for meetings or even just quick chats. Our company strongly believes going the extra mile (or many miles if you’re flying) to meet with customers and understand their needs helps build a stronger relationship and benefits greatly down the line.
etailinsights Power User Interview
Tomo, what is your favorite restaurant in Seattle and why?
Ramen Danbo. Easily one of the best ramen restaurants in Seattle and the closest comparison I’ve found to ramen I’ve had in Japan.
What drove you to begin a sales career in eCommerce?
I’ve always been interested in sales. As technology improves, more and more businesses are moving online. eCommerce is one of the largest industries where I can learn from the best and apply my skills to a rapidly growing segment.
How does Ekata help etailers?
How are you using etailinsights to find eCommerce leads?
etailinsights is our primary platform for sourcing new eCommerce related accounts to pursue. The vast amount of information we’re able to populate on a company is crucial not only for identifying the ideal prospect, but also how to strategize and prioritize. Estimated Sales per year and Alexa Rank help us track growth of a company. Industry helps us classify the accounts to build marketing campaigns on specific verticals, such as automotive, fashion, etc. The Salesforce integration ensures our account information is accurate and up to date for our reporting and metrics. All the information we receive from etailinsights has been incredibly valuable and greatly appreciated from our sales team.
What is your favorite eCommerce Conference and why?
Admittedly, I haven’t attended an eCommerce Conference yet, but I’ve heard great things about Money 20/20 from our sales team. I am planning to attend Dreamforce in San Francisco at the end of September!
